The design is based on an old-fashioned tailor’s shop where garments were made to measure rather than bought ready-made. Shelves of folded cloth, neatly stacked threads and carefully arranged hats were chosen to show the different stages of dressmaking in one compact space. The lower level focuses on the workday scene at the counter, while the upper level highlights the tools and fabrics that support the craft. Court gowns in the cabinet hint at formal occasions these clothes might be made for, turning the interior into a small record of traditional tailoring work.

    Notes: Children must assemble under the guidance of adults to avoid accidental swallowing of small parts.
  • Which battery type should I use?
    This kit requires 2 pcs of AAA batteries.
  • What kind of glue should I use?
    We recommend using white latex or alcohol-based glue.

    The light in the book nook kit will turn on when you press the switch, and turn off when you press it again.
    It will not turn off automatically unless the batteries run out.

Warm LED light with top touch control

This Victorian tailor’s shop kit includes a warm LED lamp line and a top touch switch for easy on/off. The light is designed to sit in the upper/ceiling area to illuminate both floors of the scene. Batteries are not included.

Victorian tailor’s shop scene in two levels

The finished insert shows a two-floor dressmaking interior with fabric stacks, a shop counter, a hat stand, and garment displays. Printed textures and layered placement create depth for shelf display, with details like a large clock and decorative wall pieces.

Printed, pre-cut sheets with guided assembly

Parts come on printed wooden sheets and paper accessory pieces. You remove the components from the sheets and build the layered structure following the illustrated manual. Glue is required and prepared by the user.

Acrylic dust panel and listed accessories

A front acrylic panel is provided to help reduce dust after assembly (remove the protective film before use). The box accessories shown include: lamp line, frosted rod (light diffuser), tweezers, paper accessories sheet, greaseproof paper, and an assembly manual.

The panels are made of hardwood or high-density board, giving them strength and stability. Precision laser cutting creates clean, well-fitting pieces that support a stable assembly.
