The design imagines a quiet alley at dusk, where shop lights turn on and small signboards illuminate the pavement. The creators used a tall, book-shaped outer case so the alley can stand between books on a shelf while still opening like a door to reveal the interior. Elements such as tiled roofs, paper lanterns, wall-mounted fans and flower shelves were added to suggest everyday street life rather than a specific real shop. The two cats at the entrance are placed as the focal point of the scene, with the wooden steps and curved pavement leading the eye towards them. Multiple layers of balconies, windows and hanging signs were arranged to make use of the full height of the book nook and to give depth when viewed from the front.

    Notes: Children must assemble under the guidance of adults to avoid accidental swallowing of small parts.

    This kit requires 2 pcs of AAA batteries.
  • What kind of glue should I use?
    We recommend using white latex or alcohol-based glue.

    The light in the book nook kit will turn on when you press the switch, and turn off when you press it again.
    It will not turn off automatically unless the batteries run out.

This kit includes a wired LED lighting set that creates a warm glow in the finished scene, with light points shown along the upper area and a small lantern-style light near the entrance. The light components connect to a battery box; glue and batteries are not included.

The finished book nook forms a tall, street-style shopfront with tiled roofs, window frames, hanging signboards, and a flower display on the side. Two cats sit at the entrance, and the layered facade is designed to look detailed when viewed from the front.

Laser-cut wood sheets with stickers and printed papers

Most structural parts come as pre-cut wooden sheets, and the scene details use sticker sheets and printed papers for items like wall textures and signage. Build the main frame first, then assemble and place smaller pieces (such as shelves, plants, and sign stands) following the illustrated manual. Glue is required but not included.

The box includes the LED lampline set, a frosted rod, tweezers, transparent acrylic parts, mirror acrylic, PVC sheets, greaseproof paper, and sticker sheets. These items are used for the scene surfaces and light effects shown in the product visuals.
